How to download.

This site offers free  programs that are about serious physics of up to  A and  A S level  or College standard.  They are experiments you can do with your mouse.

Click on the titles on the left for details and to download the programs.  They are free for your use and for distribution without charge.

Click update information for the latest program improvements.  It is worth coming back to check these occasionally.

You will have to download the programs into your machine. They are small and fast because they use the routines of the Windows 95/98 /ME/XP  operating system. They are ready to be properly installed as .exe files. They are designed for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and don't work well on anything less.  The compressed files are about 160 kB  each and download in less than a minute.  PhysicsLab  contains all 26 programs and a index page.  It  is 2 .5 MB in size and takes about 15 minutes to download with a steam modem. They are down in a twink with a broadband connection. All the programs have help files that include essential definitions and theory. I have noticed that some operating systems mess with the instal process and when the program runs, it can't find the help file. If this happens the help file can be found manually in the same folder as the exe program.

Advanced Physics Laboratory Book (published by John Murray)  is a practical course book that  includes a cd of  these programs.
