The Double Slit Experiment

This program shows a 'double-slit' arrangement that produces two waves from a single source. The waves are diffracted as they pass through the slits, overlap and interfere on a screen. The waves can be shown as 'ripples' or as 'waves',  giving two views of how the interference fringe pattern is formed. The width of the slit can be altered and the intensity of the interference fringes plotted. A wavelength calculator automatically calculates the wavelength of the waves for different conditions
