Alpha particle scattering

This program simulates alpha particle scattering by gold foil. Alpha particles can be shot individually or randomly at a gold atom. The deflection of the path is computed from the Coulomb repulsion between the gold nucleus and the alpha particle. You can control the alpha energy and the impact parameter. The closest distance of approach and angle of deflection are stored for each shot.  The data can be seen in graphical form and can be printed out.
